These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Nora, the disposable film camera app, and related websites. By using Nora, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

Nora lets owners create shared “rolls” with a limited number of shots, invite guests, capture photos with a film-inspired look, and develop a roll to reveal an album. Features may change as we iterate.

2. Eligibility

You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and meet any minimum age required by Apple, Google, or local law. If you use Nora on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

3. Accounts & roles

• Owners authenticate with Google or Apple, create and manage rolls, set guest permissions, invite others, and develop rolls.
• Guests join via invite code, QR, or link without a Nora account, and may shoot or view content only as permitted by the owner.

You are responsible for activity under your account or guest session and for keeping invite codes confidential.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Capture, upload, or share content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, exploitative, or that infringes others’ rights (including privacy and intellectual property)
• Photograph people in private settings without appropriate consent where required by law
• Attempt to bypass shot limits, permissions, authentication, or security controls
• Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt Nora’s infrastructure
• Use Nora to spam, phish, distribute malware, or misrepresent your identity in a deceptive way
• Use automated means to create rolls or harvest invite codes

We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or revoke guest sessions when we believe these Terms are violated.

5. Your content

You retain rights to photos and text you submit. You grant Nora a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate the service (including sharing within a roll according to permissions). You represent that you have the rights needed to grant this license.

6. Shared rolls

When you join or create a roll, other participants may see photos and nicknames according to owner settings. Owners control develop timing and guest capabilities. Nora is not responsible for how other users treat content after they save or share it outside the App.

7. Intellectual property

Nora, including its name, logo, design, and software, is owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you rights to use our branding except as needed to use the App.

8. Third-party services

Sign-in, storage, analytics, and device platforms (Apple, Google, Supabase, Firebase, and others) are governed by their own terms. Your use of those services is subject to their policies.

9. Disclaimers

Nora is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect image processing, or that rolls will never be lost. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nora and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of photos, data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to Nora will not exceed the greater of amounts you paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the claim or fifty US dollars (US $50).

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Nora against claims arising from your content, your misuse of the service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Termination

You may stop using Nora at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after the updated “Last updated” date means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using Nora.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the Nora operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
