This Privacy Policy explains how Nora (“we”, “us”, or “the App”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Nora disposable camera application and related websites (including this site).

1. Who we are

Nora is a mobile app that recreates a shared disposable film camera experience: limited shots, delayed reveal (“develop”), and optional guest participation via invite code or QR.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Nora, we may process:

• Account information (owners). When you create or manage a roll, you sign in with Google or Apple. We receive identifiers and profile basics those providers share (such as name, email, and provider user ID).
• Guest session data. Guests join with an invite code or QR and do not need an account. We may store a device-local guest session token and optional nickname you enter.
• Photos and roll metadata. Images you capture in a roll, roll name, frame counts, invite codes, guest permissions, and develop status.
• Device & diagnostics. App version, device type, crash logs, and aggregated analytics events. We avoid logging personal identifiers, photo file paths, or user-chosen roll names in analytics.
• Website usage. Standard server or hosting logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) when you visit this site.

3. How we use information

• Provide and operate the camera, rolls, invites, and albums
• Authenticate owners and authorize guest access
• Sync photos and roll state across devices (when cloud sync is enabled)
• Improve reliability, security, and performance
• Respond to support requests and legal obligations

4. Storage & processors

Nora may use third-party infrastructure to store and process data, including authentication, database, file storage, analytics, and crash reporting (for example Supabase and Firebase). Data may be processed in regions where those providers operate.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:

• With service providers who help run Nora (under contractual limits)
• With other participants in a roll you join or create — photos and nicknames may be visible according to owner-set guest permissions
• When required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer

6. Photos & content

You and other roll members control what is photographed. Do not capture or upload content you are not allowed to share. Owners can develop, manage, or delete rolls subject to in-app controls. Deleting a roll or leaving as a guest may not immediately erase all server copies if backups or legal holds apply; we delete or anonymize data when retention is no longer necessary.

7. Retention

We retain account, roll, and photo data while your account or active rolls exist, and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, abuse prevention, and legal compliance. Guest session tokens may expire or be revoked by the owner.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; please use strong account protections on Google/Apple and only share invite codes with people you trust.

9. Children

Nora is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Owners can request account-related deletion by contacting us. You may also manage permissions through Google or Apple account settings.

11. International users

If you access Nora from outside the country where our processors operate, your information may be transferred internationally. We rely on appropriate safeguards offered by our providers where required.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, when changes are material, provide additional notice in the App or on this site.
